Steel ready to face Stars nemesis
As the race for the ANZ Premiership finals heats up, the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel must successfully combat their nemesis the Robinhood Stars tonight.
The only opponent Steel has yet to topple, the Auckland side has proved a bogey team so far this season but now is the opportune time to strike.
In a stark reverse of fortunes, their round 10 encounter was the last time Stars tasted victory while, in comparison, Steel has been unbeaten since.

• When the teams last met in Round 10 this season the Stars defeated the Steel 53-43 in Dunedin. The Steel lead head-to-head with eight wins and the Stars seven in 15 previous meetings. The Stars have won five of the past six meetings between the teams including the past five.
• The teams have met three previous times at Pulman Arena in Auckland with the Stars winning two and the Steel one.
• If the Steel defeat the Stars in Round 14 they will qualify for the 2021 ANZ Premiership Finals Series for the fourth time. The Steel claimed the first two ANZ Premiership titles in 2017 and 2018, finished third in 2019 and fifth last season.
